Biography:

After the tragedy of the World Trade Center attack on September 11th, 2001, Ranya Idliby, an American Muslim of Palestinian descent, faced constant questions about Islam, God, and death from her children - the only Muslims in their school classrooms. Inspired by a story about The Prophet Muhammad, Ranya reached out to two mothers - Priscilla Warner, who is Jewish and Suzanne Toliver, a Christian - to try to understand and answer those questions for her children. After just a few meetings, however, it became clear that the women themselves needed an honest and open environment where they could admit and discuss their concerns, stereotypes, and misunderstandings about one another. After hours of soul-searching about the issues that divided them, Ranya, Suzanne, and Priscilla grew close enough to discover and explore what united them.

The result was The New York Times bestseller - The Faith Club; A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew - Three Women Search for Understanding. A interfaith memoir of spiritual reflections written in three voices, this moving work makes readers feel as if they are eavesdropping on the authors' private conversations, provocative discussions, and often controversial opinions and conclusions. And as the authors reveal their deepest beliefs, readers watch the blossoming of a profound interfaith friendship and the birth of a new way of relating to others. What started off as a conversation exploded into a global phenomenon in the wake of the book with Faith Clubs forming around the world.

The inspiring message they brought to their readers, they now deliver to audiences in a moving presentation helping others to look at themselves, their lives and the broader world in a new way. In a frank and powerful discussion, the authors wrestle with the big issues straight from today's headlines including: anti-Semitism, Islamic fundamentalism, prejudice against Muslims and preconceptions of Christianity at a time when extremists dominate its public face. They discuss beautifully and affectingly their families, their losses and grief, their fears and hopes for themselves, their loved ones and the world at large. They will inspire listeners to have an open-minded attitude and to develop an enriched personal faith and understanding of others. The Faith Club authors have made numerous appearances in various media outlets including CNN, The Today Show and NPR's The Diane Rehm Show and are frequent speakers at the world's leading universities, executive groups, corporations, congregational audiences.
